Resolutions Deadline for Fall 2017 Convention Approaching
The deadline to submit resolutions for the fall 2017 convention is Monday, October 16, 2017. Complete, district-approved resolutions MUST be emailed in a Microsoft Word format to tasha@aamdc.com by the resolutions deadline.
Registration Open for the Greener Facilities Conference & Expo!
This first-time event will prepare and educate Alberta-based facility managers and municipal staff on new technologies and innovation, share best practices, link programs that modify occupant behavior with infrastructure improvements, and address funding options to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in their facilities and/or outdoor spaces.

Court Decision Issued Regarding ALARIE Distribution
On Friday, September 15, 2017, The Honourable Associate Chief Justice J.D. Rooke of the Court of Queen’s Bench of Alberta published his decision with respect to the asset distribution alternatives for division of the assets to the subscribers of the Alberta Local Authorities Reciprocal Insurance Exchange (ALARIE).
New National Energy Board Guidance on Damage Prevention for Municipal Operations and Maintenance Activities
Based on concerns expressed by municipalities located in British Columbia about the applicability of the Damage Prevention Regulation, the National Energy Board (NEB) has developed a new guidance document, titled Damage Prevention Guidance for Municipal Operations and Maintenance Activities for Canadian municipalities to safely and efficiently undertake routine operations and maintenance activities around energy infrastructure.
