These terms of use govern your use of the website located at https://rmalberta.com, owned and operated by the RMA.

You indicate your acceptance of these terms by using any part of the Website. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms of Use, you must stop using the Website.

  1. Personal Information

In order to operate and improve the Website, the RMA may monitor and record certain aspects of your use of the Website. All information collected is regulated by the RMA’s Privacy Policy, which complies with applicable Canadian laws. You authorize the RMA to collect, store, and use such information and waive any right of action in connection with the collection, storage and use of such information by the RMA or an authorized associate of the RMA.

2 Use of Website

You must use the Website in a responsible manner. You must not attempt to breach or circumvent Website security (Hacking) or use the Website in connection with any Hacking activities. In addition, you must not use the Website to:

  • Breach any law, third party rights or any applicable codes or regulations;
  • Send unsolicited or unwelcome messages;
  • Mislead or deceive;
  • Post or transmit information that infringes the rights of a third party, including the right of privacy or publicity;
  • Cause the spread of a virus or another harmful object;
  • Post or transmit junk mail, “spam” or “chain letters”;

  • Promote in any way illegal or unwelcome activities; or
  • Undertake promotions or commercial activity.

You acknowledge and agree that the Website may contain content, features, information, or technology that are protected by intellectual property laws including but not limited to: copyright, patent, trade marks and database rights. All such intellectual property rights are owned (or licensed) by the RMA and nothing in these Terms of Use transfers any of those rights to site visitors or account holders.

  • No documents or related graphics on this Website are modified in any way;
  • No graphics on this Website are used separately from accompanying text;
  • No third party or end user licenses are breached; and
  • the RMA’s copyright and trademark notices appear unobscured in all copies.
  1. Third Party Material, Linked Websites and Email Communications

You acknowledge and agree that the RMA is not responsible or liable in any way for any content or material of other account holders to which you may have access through the website (such as Professionals or other Contractors) or other third parties (such as advertisers) which site visitors may have access to through the Website.

You also agree to receive electronic mail from the RMA that may contain information about the RMA, its partners and their products or services. If you do not wish to receive information about our partner offers, you will be offered the opportunity to unsubscribe from such offers.

While the RMA aims to keep the Website available 24 hours a day and free from errors, it is possible that part or all of the Website may be temporarily inaccessible or may not function properly, or the Website could contain errors, inaccuracies and omissions.

The RMA provides the Website “as is” and makes no warranties of any kind, implied or express, except as required by law. You agree that all warranties, express or implied, are excluded. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the RMA excludes all liability for any loss or damage whatsoever suffered in connection with the use of the Website, or in connection with the inability to use this Website.

We may vary these Terms of Use in the future. The most recent version can always be accessed at https://rmalberta.com/. Changes will not apply retrospectively but by continuing to use and accessing the Website you will be taken to have agreed to any updated Terms of Use.

If you fail to comply with these Terms of Use, and we don’t take action right away, that doesn’t mean that we are giving up any rights that we may have (such as taking action in the future). If it turns out that a particular part of these Terms of Use is not enforceable, this will not affect any other part.

The laws of Alberta, Canada govern these Terms of Use. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Alberta, Canada in relation to any disputes or claims.
