About The RMA

The Rural Municipalities of Alberta (RMA) is an independent association comprising Alberta’s 69 counties and municipal districts. Since 1909, the RMA has helped rural municipalities achieve strong, effective, local government.

In addition to the RMA opportunities, you will also see job postings for the Canoe Procurement Group of Canada here. In 2019, the RMA expanded its unique procurement services across Canada. This has grown to combine the purchasing power of over 5,000 public and not-for-profit organizations, and culminated in the formation of Canoe in 2021.

Vacation Time

Full-time employees receive three weeks of vacation upon commencement of employment. In addition, the staff also receive personal days, sick and family responsibility time off, and four additional days off on top of regular statutory holidays.

Salary

The RMA is committed to a compensation philosophy of providing employees with fair, equitable, and competitive compensation, as well as encouraging and rewarding strong workplace performance.

To seek and retain above-average employees, the RMA offers a better-than-average compensation package. A full review is performed every three years to ensure staff compensation remains competitive.
