The RMA is gearing up for the upcoming provincial election.
As part of an ongoing effort to highlight the importance of rural Alberta during the next provincial election, the RMA has developed a new website that will host a number of tools and resources for RMA members, candidates for provincial office, political parties, stakeholders, and the public.
Visit the Rural Alberta: Where It All Starts website.
The RMA election campaign tag line is “Rural Alberta: Where it All Starts” which is a reference to the importance of rural Alberta within the province as a whole. Whether it is the food we eat, the energy that powers our cars, or the heat in our homes – it all starts in rural Alberta.
The RMA is focusing on five priority issues for this election:
- The importance of rural
- Long-term, predictable municipal funding
- Intermunicipal collaboration
- Infrastructure and transportation
- Environmental stewardship
As part of the ”Where it All Starts” campaign, RMA recently published an op-ed in the Edmonton Journal.
Stay tuned for regular updates and additions to the Where it All Starts website as the election is called and throughout the election period.
