Asset Management for Elected Officials Workshop Postponed

The upcoming elected official workshops in Calgary, Edmonton, Lethbridge, Grande Prairie, and Vermilion will be rescheduled in the coming months

The workshops, offered jointly by the RMA, Alberta Municipalities, and Infrastructure Asset Management Alberta through funding from the Municipal Asset Management Program, have been postponed to allow councils adequate time to register. Stay tuned to Contact for revised dates, locations, and registration instructions in the coming months.

Participation in these one-day workshops is free. The workshops provide a great introduction to asset management and its importance to supporting councillors in their role as decision-makers and strategic planners.

All other asset management activities are still open for registration.

  • Introductory Cohort
    • This cohort seeks municipalities with little to no asset management and who will learn how to develop asset management processes and policies.
  • Intermediate Cohort
    • This cohort seeks municipalities with some asset management uptake and will help further develop and improve current asset management plans.
  • Group Learning Communities
    • These workshops will focus on developing partnerships between municipalities to share information and seek solutions to asset management challenges (registration opening soon).
