The deadline for applications has been extended to November 30
The Watershed Resiliency and Restoration Program (WRRP) was established in 2014, in recognition of the importance of improving natural watershed functions to build long-term resiliency for floods and droughts. Administered by Alberta Environment and Parks (AEP), the WRRP provides grants to municipalities and organizations for the design and construction of projects that enhance watershed resiliency impacts from flooding and droughts.
The WRRP is accepting applications for grant funding for projects that will build long-term resiliency to flood and drought events. The primary objective of the WRRP is to increase the natural ability of Alberta’s watersheds to reduce the intensity, magnitude, duration, and effects of flooding and drought through natural watershed mitigation measures.
To support municipalities in applying for 2021 – 2022 funding, AEP has provided additional documents:
- A Grant Application Overview and Guide. Please refer to this guide to ensure that the project is eligible for the funding.
- A WRRP Grant Application Form and Checklist.
The application deadline has been extended to November 30, 2021.
