Short Application Window Now Open for Canada 150 Community Infrastructure Program

The federal government has released details regarding applications for $150 million in funding introduced in the 2016 federal budget as part of the Canada 150 Community Infrastructure Fund. This is in addition to $150 million that was previously allocated under the same fund.

The program will provide up to 50 percent of funding to provincial, territorial, and municipal governments, as well as Aboriginal organizations and non-profit organizations to renovate, expand or rehabilitate community and cultural infrastructure. The projects will be grouped under two broad themes: those that promote a clean growth economy and those that contribute to a positive impact on indigenous communities.

Program details and application information can be found on Western Economic Diversification Canada’s website. The application process consists of completing an online form. The deadline for applications is June 22, 2016 at 2:00pm. There is also an application guide and frequently asked questions sectionavailable for those wanting more information.
