View the RMA’s 2022 federal pre-budget submission
In advance of the 2022 federal budget, the Government of Canada has requested stakeholders to share their ideas on how budget priorities could contribute to new jobs and build a greener, more resilient Canada.
One of the RMA’s federal advocacy goals is to identify and advocate on priority municipal and rural issues at the federal level. The RMA will be providing a submission that will ensure that the rural municipal perspective is considered by the federal government when developing the budget. The submission is divided into three themes:
- Rural Connectivity
- Resilient Rural Communities
- Support for Rural Infrastructure
Each theme includes background information, specific budget-related action items, target ministries, and an explanation of why it is important to rural municipalities.
RMA staff will continue to update members on its federal efforts. If you have any questions regarding the RMA’s pre-budget submission or the RMA’s federal advocacy efforts, contact RMA Policy Advisor Alex Mochid at alex@RMAlberta.com.
