The Government of Alberta is asking for feedback from the public on Alberta Health Services
In a news statement on August 8, The Government of Alberta Health Minister Tyler Shandro announced a comprehensive review of Alberta Health Services (AHS) and Albertans are being asked to share their feedback. The government has chosen independent contractor Ernst And Young (EY) to complete the comprehensive review of AHS. EY will be engaging AHS employees and other stakeholders separately as part of the review process.
The review will identify potential ways AHS can reduce costs and improve performance by:
- Examining AHS management structure, organization, and administration
- Evaluating AHS programs, services, and policies
- Comparing AHS to other province’s health systems, and best practices
- Gathering input from employees, physicians, and the public
The Government of Alberta is seeking feedback from Albertans on how AHS can reduce costs and improve health care services. The final report from EY is due back to the provincial government by December 31, 2019.
To submit feedback, please email AHS.Review@gov.ab.ca.
