The Government of Canada is seeking feedback on a proposed integrated management approach to plastics
The Government of Canada is taking steps toward eliminating plastic pollution in Canada, including potentially banning or restricting certain harmful single-use plastic products. The federal government has drafted a discussion paper, A proposed integrated management approach to plastic products to prevent waste and pollution, and is seeking input on it. The proposed approach would implement a number of actions, including regulations, which would be developed under the provisions of the Canadian Environmental Protection Act (CEPA).
Please submit email feedback by December 9, 2020. Emails must have the title of the discussion paper in the subject line.
Any questions can be directed to ec.plastiques.ec@canada.ca.
