The University of Alberta’s Medically At-Risk Driver Centre (MARD) has recently developed the Toolkit for the Implementation of Alternate Transportation for Seniors in Alberta. The free kit is intended for municipalities, non-profit groups, and others interested in developing alternate transportation services in their communities or regions.
MARD will be hosting a webinar at the AUMA office on June 13, 2016 from 2:00pm to 3:30pm, and AAMDC members are welcome to take part. The purpose of the webinar is to provide an overview of the contents of the toolkit and discuss how AAMDC and AUMA members can assist in disseminating information about the toolkit to stakeholders in their communities that are interested in developing an alternate transportation service. There also will be an opportunity to brainstorm how to initiate conversations about implementing alternate transportation services for seniors in communities where they are not currently available.

The AAMDC would like to thank the AUMA for making the webinar available to AAMDC members.
