Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada has posted their list and map of initial prescribed areas that will be eligible for the Livestock Tax Deferral program in 2018.
Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada has identified the initial areas that may be eligible for the Livestock Tax Deferral Provision in 2018. In Alberta, these areas include:
- Beaver County
- City of Calgary
- Camrose County
- Cardston County
- Cypress County
- Forty Mile County
- Kneehill County
- Lacombe County
- Lethbridge County
- Mountain View County
- Newell County
- Pincher Creek
- Ponoka County
- Red Deer County
- Rocky View County
- MD of Taber
- Vulcan County
- Warner County
- Wetaskiwin County
- Wheatland County
- MD of Willow Creek
It is important to consider that this list is preliminary and based on moisture conditions through the hay/pasture season. The final list of areas will be based on additional information on things such as yields, impacts, etc. and should be announced later in the 2018 calendar year.
