The Government of Alberta has begun the process of reviewing Alberta’s police costing model. This review was identified as a commitment in the UCP election platform.
To guide the review, the Government of Alberta has designed a costing model that requires testing with municipalities. All municipalities should have received an invite from Alberta Justice and Solicitor General to participate in a webinar about Alberta’s police costing model. The webinar is an opportunity for the province to provide information on factors that comprise the police funding model in advance of asking for written feedback on the model.
This webinar is being hosted jointly by Alberta Justice and Solicitor General and Municipal Affairs on Friday, September 6 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. Please access the webinar via this link during the meeting time to login.
