In 2019, Environment and Climate Change Canada’s new Environmental Emergency Regulations came into force replacing the previous version of the Environmental Emergency (E2) Regulations (2011). The ECCC has released the Technical Guidelines for these regulations to assist regulatees in better understanding the requirements so that they are able to comply with the legislation.
Any questions related to the regulation or the technical guidelines should be directed to the E2 Prevention Program Officer in your region.
