RMA is implementing a dual senior leader reporting structure and staffing to strengthen advocacy focus and business service agility
The RMA Director of External Relations & Advocacy, Tasha Blumenthal, has decided to take a new position with Parkland County. Although we are sad to see her go, we are happy that she is going to be an important part of the team of one of our members. We thank Tasha for her years of service and dedication — she will be missed!
With Tasha leaving as Director of External Relations & Advocacy, the board and senior management have taken the opportunity to revisit our staffing structure with the following changes made:
External Relations & Advocacy
We have decided not to fill the Director of External Relations & Advocacy vacancy at this time and will instead take this opportunity to increase our staff support in the department to better serve our members. The RMA’s Executive Director, Gerald Rhodes, will oversee the department directly and Wyatt Skovron, Manager of Policy & Advocacy, will be taking on additional responsibilities. We anticipate new staff positions commencing by the new year and are excited about the opportunity to strengthen the team.
Business Services
Duane Gladden has been promoted from Director of Business Services to CEO of the RMA Group of Companies. Duane is a valued part of the RMA and in his tenure has grown the RMA Business Services department to what it is today with RMA Insurance and the Canoe Procurement Group of Canada. With this change, Duane will report directly to the RMA board along with Executive Director Gerald Rhodes. Gerald will continue as the administrative head of the RMA companies – the RMA and RMA Insurance – providing the overall organizational oversight implementing the vision, mission, goals, and objectives of the association. Duane will focus on business service provision and the growth of RMA businesses.
Advocacy and Business Services are key functions of the RMA and we are pleased to structure to best serve our members.
