RMA is seeking member representation on the Technical Coordinating Committee of the Safety Codes Council (SCC). RMA is seeking up to two nominees that will be forwarded for consideration by the SCC. The SCC is specifically seeking individuals who serve as the CAO, Quality Management Plan Officer, or similar within their municipality, and possess a strong understanding of rural municipalities and the safety codes system.
The Technical Coordinating Committee is comprised of the SCC’s ten sub-council chairs as well as representatives from municipalities, labour, and education institutes. Their role is to encourage stakeholders to participate and contribute in the development of safety codes and standards.
To be considered for a nomination, please forward to RMA a brief profile that lists the background, experience, and contact information of the candidate. Profiles are necessary to ensure that only those with appropriate qualifications, experience, and knowledge are appointed as members of Committee in compliance with the criteria established in the Safety Codes Act, SCC bylaws, and SCC policy.
As these are volunteer positions, members are not paid but the SCC will reimburse its members for all expenses incurred. Per diems are paid for by the nominating municipality if applicable.
The SCC is an equal opportunity organization and values diversity of all kinds.
