Grant funding from FCM awarded to wastewater project
The Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM) has awarded Brazeau County $260,880 for a pilot project to assess the use of constructed floating wetlands to treat municipal sewage in waste stabilization ponds and improve the quality of wastewater before it is discharged into the environment. This funding comes from FCM’s Green Municipal Fund, which helps local governments implement sustainable practices.
“Brazeau County welcomes this grant to help us continue to innovate on the leading edge of new, sustainable technologies to enhance life for our citizens,” said Brazeau County Reeve Bart Guyon.
