The Municipal Asset Management Program (MAMP) provides grants of up to $50,000 to support municipalities in building their asset management capacity
The Municipal Asset Management Program (MAMP) is funded by the Government of Canada and administered by the Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM). MAMP provides direct funding to municipalities for projects related to building asset management capacity in areas such as asset management assessments, data collection and reporting, training and organizational development, and others. Funding will cover up to 80% of eligible project costs, to a maximum of $50,000.
Since funding was first made available in 2017, eleven RMA member municipalities and 250 total municipalities across Canada have undertaken MAMP projects. As applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis until 2020 (subject to funding availability), RMA would like to encourage members who have not yet received funding to learn more about the program and consider applying.
MAMP Direct Funding Application Process
As mentioned, FCM receives and reviews MAMP applications on an ongoing basis. To learn more about the MAMP program and how to apply, click here and read the application guide. Specific questions about MAMP or the application process can be sent to FCM staff by phone at 613.907.6208 or by emailing mamp.funding@fcm.ca.
