The grant supports training and capacity-building for regional fire services
The Government of Alberta is now accepting applications for the Fire Services Training Grant. The grant, which is open to all municipalities, Metis Settlements, and First Nations communities, is intended to support communities to ensure that local fire services are adequately trained.
Eligible costs include:
- fire services course fees
- cost of facility rental for the purposes of offering training
- training materials
- instructor expenses
- reasonable costs for student travel and meals
Not all applicants will receive funding and some applicants may not receive the full funding amount requested.
