Crane Rental Association of Canada is seeking an amendment to pilot project from Alberta Transportation
The Crane Rental Association of Canada
(CRAC) hosted a webinar presentation regarding the two-year All-Terrain Cranes Pilot Project
. CRAC is currently seeking an amendment with Alberta Transportation and hosted a webinar to demonstrate the importance of this request.
CRAC is asking to limit the current pilot project to:
- 3, 4, and 5 axle cranes.
- Allow these cranes to operate with dollies at the permitted pilot project weights.
This will restrict larger cranes (6,7, and 8 axle) to the current legislated weight restrictions.
CRAC believes that restricting the pilot project to 3, 4, and 5 axle all-terrain cranes with dollies will focus the pilot. At the end of the pilot project, the larger 6 and 7 axle all-terrain cranes will be assessed and could be included in review of the current legislation.
