Following the provincial election, the UCP has formed government and a new Cabinet has been sworn in.
Cabinet members play an important role in any government and drive the direction of the ministries that they oversee. There has not been a significant restructuring of the provincial Cabinet positions and ministries in comparison to the previous government. There are 20 ministers, including Premier Jason Kenney, who will also serve as the Minister of Intergovernmental Relations, as well as three associate ministers.
