Sessions from Energy Futures Lab seek to gather input from rural municipalities on Alberta’s Electricity Future.
Alberta’s Electricity Future, an initiative of the Energy Futures Lab (EFL), is working with stakeholders across Alberta to envision what the future of electricity should look like as well as generating and testing ideas to move towards it.
A first draft of this vision has been co-created with a coalition of 50 industry and community leaders from diverse fields and backgrounds across the electricity system. EFL is currently gathering feedback to upgrade the vision and want it to include input from rural municipalities. EFL believes it is important that rural voices are part of this work, and that those voices reflect the breadth of rural experiences, economic opportunities, challenges, and contexts from all corners of the province. EFL is seeking input from all regions of the province.
A two-hour online conversation via Zoom will take place on either May 28 or May 30 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm to share your perspective on what the future of Alberta’s electricity system needs to enable.
Participants are encouraged read the draft vision – Leading the Charge: A Vision for Alberta’s Electricity Future – before joining the call in order to participate in the discussion fully.
