Alberta Health Services Continues Engagement on Emergency Medical Services

Alberta Health Services invites Albertans to share their ideas on emergency medical services innovation

Alberta Health Services (AHS) is continuing to engage with Albertans on improvements to emergency medical services (EMS) throughout the province. AHS has invited Albertans to share their ideas for EMS innovation on Together4Health, by June 24, 2022.

Inputs from the engagement process will be used to inform the development of the EMS Provincial Service Plan. This plan is one element of the AHS EMS 10-Point Plan that has been implemented to address system pressures. Updates on how these initiatives are progressing can be found online.

AHS has completed several activities in the engagement process including an EMS Current State Survey, which will be used to direct the development of the Provincial EMS Service Plan. The findings from these surveys can be found in the What We Heard Report.

Further, AHS has also provided a detailed outline of the six priority areas that have emerged from the EMS current state engagement.
