AEP Seeking Feedback on Sustainable Outdoor Recreation Engagement

Share your ideas to help shape the future of sustainable recreational Crown land use

Crown land encompasses approximately 60% of the province, including public lands, parks, and protected areas. This consultation is the first initiative under the Government of Alberta’s approach to modernizing Crown land management and is guided by the Alberta Crown Land Vision.

Alberta Environment and Parks (AEP) is seeking feedback from Albertans to:

  • ensure outdoor recreation on Crown land is funded and managed sustainably; and
  • create changes that will better enable partnerships with non-profit groups, businesses, municipalities, and Indigenous communities that help support fun, responsible, and sustainable recreation on Crown Land.

AEP is conducting a survey on this issue. The deadline for feedback is January 15, 2021 at 4:30 pm.

In the coming months, AEP will be engaging Albertans about different Crown land initiatives and RMA will keep members updated on new feedback opportunities.
