Plant Operator Water & Waste Water Treatment

QUALITIFICATIONS:

• Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Completion of Alberta Environment Operator 2 certifications in Water Treatment, Water Distribution, Waste Water Collection, and Waste Water Treatment.
• Preference given to those with post secondary certificate in water and/or waste water systems.
• Two (2) years of related experience as a Plant Operator 1.
• Physically fit with the ability to withstand normal working conditions.
• Ability to perform all duties with a minimum of supervision and work effectively with variable work loads.
• Strong verbal & Written communication skills required.
• Hands-on application and use of computer systems and their applications.
• Alberta Class 5 valid driver’s license.

Hours per Week: Monday to Friday – 40 hours per shift cycle

*Please note that the shift cycle is currently under review

 Pay Scale: $39.60/hour (As per CUPE 135 Collective Agreement)

*Applicants with Level 1 qualifications may be considered at a lower rate of pay.
