Key Responsibilities Include:
This position will be responsible for the administration and enforcement of the regulations contained in the Land Use Bylaw and other statutory documents; for reviewing and managing development permit and planning applications and projects; and to provide a planning perspective to issues within the City of Leduc. All in order to ensure that development in the City is planned responsibly and is in conformance with all relevant legislation, statutory plans, bylaws and policies.
The ideal candidate will have a degree in Regional and Urban Planning, Urban Design, Environmental Science, Landscape Architecture, Architecture or Geography.
Member or eligibility for membership with the Canadian Institute of Planners is mandatory.
A minimum of one year of professional experience in planning or a degree in a related field and a minimum of one-year municipal experience. The successful candidate must be willing to provide a current, clean Criminal Records Check as part of the hiring process.
