Municipal Lands Assistant

One (1) Year Contract Position

Location: Administration Office in High River, AB

Foothills County is a vibrant and thriving municipality located south of the City of Calgary with its administrative office located in High River, AB.  Valuing customer service, continual professional development, open communication and work/life balance, Foothills County is inviting applications for a Municipal Lands Assistant one (1) year Contract position.

Key Responsibilities

The primary role of the Municipal Lands Assistant will be to provide administrative support regarding the disposition, lease, purchase and management of municipal lands. This position will assist in various aspects of municipally led management of land development, under the supervision of the Municipal Lands Administrator.  In addition, this position will be required to provide back-up support to the Safety Codes Permit Issuer from time to time.

The successful candidate must demonstrate a high level of interpersonal skills, diplomacy and professionalism, including strong oral and written communications skills.  The candidate must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and familiar with GIS applications.
