$100,755.20 – $125,881.60 / annum

We are currently recruiting for a permanent, full-time Manager, Utility Services.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Reporting to the Director, Public Services, the Manager, Utility Services will be responsible for the planning and development of short- and long-term sustainable operations procedures and practices. This position oversees the day-to-day operation of all functions with Water, Wastewater areas and will be responsible for the supervision of the area including performance management, risk management, asset management, budgets, compliance with legislated requirements and continued development of safe work procedures. The incumbent works closely with the Director of Public Services in planning, developing and reviewing both operational and capital budgets and will be responsible for ensuring that all activities in the Utility Services are delivered and managed in an innovative and fiscally responsible manner. This position currently has three reports and oversees the operation and maintenance of the City of Leduc and the Capital Region Southwest Water Services Commission’s utility infrastructures.
Requirements:
As the successful candidate you will have a minimum of a post secondary diploma or certificate related to this field from an accredited institution and an Alberta Environment level 3 certification in water distribution and wastewater collection. For this position, a minimum of five-years of related experience of equivalent work history is essential. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Geomatic Information Systems, Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition systems (SCADA) is required as well as a working knowledge of WHMIS and OH&S standards. As part of the hiring process you must be willing to provide a current, clear Criminal Records Check.
