Parkland County has a Temporary, Full-time summer position available in the Public Works Department for a Maintenance Service Worker I, from approximately May 1 to August 30, 2019. Reporting to the General Supervisor, Facilities, you will assist facility staff in the day-to-day routine maintenance of the facilities. Routine maintenance includes changing filters, changing lights, painting, clean up, moving furniture and landscaping as well as other related duties.
Rate of Pay: $24.99 per hour
Hours of Work: 8 hours/day; 40 hours/week
This position is covered by the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local Union No. 955 Collective Agreement.
Mechanically inclined and familiar with basic hand tools.
General construction labour, painting, or building maintenance (commercial, residential, or farm) experience is an asset.
Valid Class 5 Driver’s License. Upon hire, a current Driver’s Abstract and satisfactory driving record must be provided.
