Summary

The Municipal District of Bonnyville No. 87 invites applications for the position of Legislative Project Assistant. This position is responsible for performing a wide range of professional administrative duties under stringent deadlines requiring a high level of accuracy, organizational skills, confidentiality, and discretion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide project support for all tasks associated with the 2025 Municipal Election including but not limited to resources and supply coordination, election worker training and coordination, voting station locations coordination, documentation and filing, and assistance with public inquiries.
  • Setup of a computer-based, centralized, cross-referenced indexing system and registries for tracking legal counsel obtained by the municipality.
  • Research historical records, data entry, and document tracking.
  • Assist with online research and report preparation.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required; post-secondary education relevant to local government administration would be an asset.
  • Minimum of Four (4) years administrative/office experience required.
  • Experience with elections and/or legislation required.
  • Experience with documentation/file management required.
  • Ability to demonstrate exceptional organizational, time management and multi-tasking skills in a time-sensitive work environment.
  • Must be professional and reliable with proven interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Must be able to work well on a team or with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent computer skills including proficiency with MS Office.
  • A valid Class 5 drivers license in good standing.
  • Satisfactory Criminal Record Check.
