Smoky Lake County is seeking an experienced and focused individual to join our team as the Lead Mechanic/Maintenance Coordinator. The Lead Mechanic/Maintenance Coordinator will be a key member of the County’s management team, playing a crucial role in supporting initiatives across all departments.
Position Summary: This permanent full-time position requires a competent, motivated individual who will complete scheduled maintenance of the County’s fleet vehicles and equipment and urgent repairs that may arise, performing overhauls, routine maintenance, and preventative maintenance inspections. Working amongst a team of experienced management staff, the Lead Mechanic/Maintenance Coordinator is the key person who manages the day-to-day operations of all fleet vehicles and equipment. This this position offers an equal balance of on-the-tools mechanical work and fleet management oversight.
