What is the opportunity?

We are currently recruiting for a casual Fitness Center Attendant for our Wellness Services department.

Reporting to the Fitness Centre Supervisor, the Fitness Centre Attendant strives to create an exceptional experience for our users by offering a clean and welcoming environment to enhance patrons experience of the Leduc Recreation Centre’s Fitness Centre.

We are looking for a Saturday morning opener that has consistent weekend availability.

Key Responsibilities

What will you do?

Be knowledgeable regarding proper equipment usage and educate patrons on safe use
Assist with equipment checks and preventative maintenance
Spend time interacting with members on the fitness floor and make efforts to build positive relationships
Be present at the fitness center desk to provide wristbands to members, identify Matinee members and check for expired memberships
Be familiar with the group fitness class schedule and be able to provide assistance to participants
Moderate Administrative capabilities, such as following up with customer inquiries, checking patrons in to classes, and registering clients in programs.

Requirements

What do you need to succeed?

Must be 18 years of age or older.
Standard First Aid is required.
Minimum three (3) months experience working in a recreation or fitness facility preferably in a municipal and/or customer service setting
