- The successful candidate must hold a degree or diploma in a related discipline, with related experience in sustainability initiatives.
- Experience in public awareness initiatives, project management and conducting research and feasibility studies is an asset.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint (preferred).
- Excellent communication skills required, including the ability to prepare well written technical and administrative reports and give presentations. Strong listening skills, with the ability to work with and convey messages to different audiences.
- Exceptional organization skills are required. Demonstrated ability to manage a variety of tasks and consistently meet deadlines. A self-starter who enjoys working in a team environment.
- Able to establish and maintain positive and effective working relationships with various stakeholders including technical consultants, staff, elected officials, advisory committees and the public.
- Able to attend occasional meetings/events after regular work hours.
- Must possess and be able to maintain a valid Class 5 Driver’s license (required to drive to work sites, attend meetings off site, etc.).
