Director of Infrastructure

Director of Infrastructure - Municipal District of Willow Creek

This is a newly created position within the MD.

This position will be responsible for establishing the asset management program for the municipality and will lead the development of infrastructure programs to construct new and to replace aging assets. The successful candidate will undertake the administration of projects involving external contractors and engineering including the scoping, design, construction and commissioning of new and rehabilitated municipal infrastructure and will be an integral part of the municipal management team. The successful candidate will have the interest and ability to take on future challenges with the municipality that will be both professionally challenging and personally rewarding.

Requirements:

Requirements:

Professional qualification: civil engineering technologist (or equivalent certification) and 10 years’ experience in project management.

Superior customer service/communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships with both the public and staff.

Strong computer competency with the ability to stay current with Technology specific to the Industry.

Member or eligibility to become member of ASET.

Proven technical and management experience in the design, construction and operation of municipal infrastructure.

Results orientated – ability to evaluate, communicate, prioritize and implement action plans effectively in a fast paced, multi-disciplinary environment
