Key Responsibilities Include:
Reporting to the Manager, Current Planning, the Development Officer is responsible for ensuring all development within the City of Leduc meets the land use bylaw regulations. This positions is responsible for the processing of development applications and the administration and enforcement of the regulations contained in the Land Use Bylaw and other statutory documents. In addition, you will provide assistance to the general public, developers, contractors, businesses, or other city staff and council regarding planning and development matters.
The ideal candidate will have completed a diploma training program at a college or technical school related to Land Use Planning (i.e., Community/ Land Use Planning Technician Diploma, Applied Land Use Planning Certificate). Three years of related experience is required or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
The successful candidate must be willing to provide a current Criminal Records Check as part of the hiring process.
