We are currently recruiting for a permanent, part-time Corporate Planning Coordinator.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Reporting to the Manager, Corporate Planning & Performance, this position supports the delivery of a full scope of activities within the corporate planning and performance program. This includes facilitating the development of operational plans and performance measures; supporting strategic planning and organizational initiatives; providing practical business advice to departments; developing corporate planning resources materials for the purpose of knowledge sharing; and managing the software used by the organization for planning and reporting. As such, this position works directly with the city manager, executive team, directors and managers. Candidates must possess well-developed communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships. A key to success is administering an integrated corporate planning framework that embeds council and executive’s direction down into the organization thereby supporting its effectiveness. This includes leading software utilization and training. An understanding of MGA, FOIP, and other relevant legislation would be beneficial.
The ideal candidate will have a diploma or degree in business administration, public administration, statistics or other related discipline or equivalent experience. Certification and/or course work in training, facilitation, change management, data analytics and project management is considered an asset. A minimum five years’ of experience in municipal government, institution or non-profit sector. With development and knowledge of corporate planning and related plans, performance measurement, budget and related business processes. Experience conducting and analyzing research, and preparing proposals and reports is required. Experience in facilitating engagement session is considered an asset. Candidate should have excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Visio.
The successful candidate must be willing to provide a current Criminal Records Check as part of the hiring process.
