Required Qualifications:
- Completion of the Solicitor General’s Public Security Peace Officer Training Program (or equivalent).
- Eligible to be appointed as a Community Peace Officer Level 1 through Alberta Justice and Solicitor General.
- Current Level C First Aid and CPR certification.
- A solid understanding of the Community Peace Officer Program policies and procedures.
- Certification in Radar/Laser Speed Detection, Commercial Vehicle Legislation, and Defensive Weapon & Tactics Training (within the past 2 years) – or a willingness to complete the training.
Bonus Qualifications (Assets):
- A related diploma in law enforcement, criminology, or a similar field is a bonus!
- Prior experience in law enforcement or similar fields is a plus!
