ROLE DESCRIPTION:  Reporting to and under the general direction of the Lead, the Coordinator maintains overall responsibility for the quality and timely delivery of services within their area of responsibility.  The role focuses on providing exceptional customer service while seeking solutions to moderate problems with conflicting priorities.

Position details:

  • Permanent Full Time
  • Hours: Based on a 35-hour workweek, typically Monday-Friday 8:30am to 4:30pm.  May require evenings or weekends for special events or projects.
  • Salary range is: $73,946.60 to $94,894.80 annually ($40.63 to $52.14 hourly)

Key Responsibilities

The position will (but not limited to):

  • Communicate information about external County programs and services.
  • Establish internal communications protocols, ensuring effective communication between County staff
  • Develops, updates and distributes printed and digital marking materials.
  • Develops and updates County, Region and Bold Centre websites
  • Attends events for promotional purposes, creates and administers internal and external promotions for programs and services.
  • Orders and tracks County swag.
  • Produces and maintains records of photography, videography, and other multimedia requests
  • Assist the department with managing the County’s reputation and public image.
  • Assume Emergency Management duties as assigned

Requirements

To be successful in this position, you will:

  • Hold a Degree or Diploma in Communications or related field
  • Hold ICS 100 and ICS 200 (or be willing to obtain)
  • Possess 3 to 5 years of related experience
  • Extensive training and/or experience in design standards, typography, photography, and related technology (Adobe Creative Cloud, MS Office, etc.)
  • Hold knowledge of municipal government, including specialized knowledge of the different types of departments, programs, and services offered.
  • Use creative thinking and bring strong writing skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Possess exemplary communication skills through all mediums.
