Key Responsibilities Include:
Reporting to the Director of Corporate Services, the Communications Coordinator is involved in all aspects of the development, implementation and delivery of Cypress County’s internal and external communications strategies. The successful candidate will be adept at social media and act as a resources for the development of communications best practices, policies and corporate brand standards.
This position will also be required to research and write grant proposals in line with directives from Council and the County Strategic planning process.
The ideal candidate has a degree in Public Relations, Marketing, Communications, Journalism or Business combined with a minimum of three (3) years of experience in a corporate communications role, preferably in a municipal government. Excellent verbal and written communication skills coupled with strong computer skills using Adobe Creative Suite Software and Microsoft Office is essential. The demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders as well as build effective communications networks is essential.
