Qualifications and Skills
- Positive, proven leadership and team-building skills
- Proven ability to maintain high standards of safety, quality and cooperation
- Proven time management skills and possess the ability to work with minimal supervision
- Outstanding customer service and communication skills
- Ability to adapt to changing work environments and demands
- Completion of a post-secondary degree in Recreation, Physical Education, Kinesiology or related field
- Successful completion of CSEP-CEP (Clinical Exercise Physiologist) and ACSM-CEP (American College of Sports Medicine)
- Experience working with participants with chronic conditions
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in exercise instruction
- Aqua-fitness certification is considered an asset (Fitness Alberta, WaterART)
Conditions of Employment
- Submission of current CSEP-CEP or ACSM- CEP, Standard First Aid and CPR C Certification
