Qualifications and Skills:
- A related degree in Accounting, Finance, Management, Business Administration, Public Administration or a related field
- Professional designation in Accounting
- A minimum of 7 years progressively responsible and directly related experience in financial, business or strategic planning, preferably in public sector administration
- Municipal experience is considered an asset
- Extensive understanding of financial, business and strategic planning and reporting
- Knowledge of public sector accounting board guidelines and generally accepted accounting principles, FOIP, and the Municipal Government Act
- Excellent interpersonal, supervisory and leadership skills, with the ability to work collaboratively
- Strong analysis and decision-making skills, combined with initiative and judgement
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and job-related software would be an asset (Oracle Cloud, Fleet Management Software, Questica etc)
