YOUR ROLE

As the Business Development Representative (BDR) you play a crucial role in driving the growth and success of our company. This role involves proactive outreach to external prospects and business development leads, primarily through telephone communication. The primary objective of the BDR is to schedule telephone appointments for our advisors, who will then conduct detailed meetings to introduce, position, and promote our diverse range of product lines. The ultimate goal is to secure new sales and expand our market presence.

Key Responsibilities

YOUR IMPACT

  • Engage in outbound cold calls, targeting 75+ daily calls (all B2B) with an unlimited lead volume.
  • Excel as a storyteller, creating new relationships and overcoming objections over the phone.
  • Secure appointments with potential decision-makers to drive business growth.
  • Conduct engaging conversations with strong communication skills.
  • Ensure accurate CRM record keeping and reporting.
  • Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to refine outreach strategies and improve lead generation efforts.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and product knowledge to effectively communicate value propositions.
  • Follow up with leads in a timely manner to nurture relationships and move prospects through the sales pipeline.
  • Provide feedback to management on market trends, competition, and customer needs to enhance product offerings and strategies.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to continuously improve sales techniques and performance.

WHAT TO EXPECT

The Business Development Representative (BDR) will be expected to achieve the following outcomes over the next 90 days. These outcomes will be revisited and updated on a quarterly basis to ensure continuous improvement and alignment with company goals.

Meet or Exceed Assigned Quota of Appointments:

By the 2nd Month:

  • Schedule an average of 2 appointments per day.
  • Achieve a total of 40 appointments per month.

By the 4th Month:

  • Schedule an average of 3 appointments per day.
  • Achieve a total of 60 appointments per month.

By the 6th Month:

  • Schedule an average of 4+ appointments per day.
  • Achieve a total of 80 appointments per month.

By achieving these outcomes, the BDR will significantly contribute to the company’s growth and success by effectively generating and nurturing leads, ensuring high-quality appointments, and maintaining accurate records.

Requirements

THIS IS YOU

  • You are a self-starter with a passion for success.
  • You have previous cold-calling experience; bonus points for an insurance or group benefits background.
  • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • You are quick on your feet and tech-savvy
  • Experience with cold calling, and lead generation.

THIS IS NICE

  • Experience in B2B Sales in insurance or group benefits.

YOUR COMPENSATION

Individual compensation within this range is determined by factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, and education/training. This range reflects the annual base salary only and does not encompass our comprehensive total rewards, benefits, and potential bonuses that we proudly offer.
