This session will take us through the basics of gathering the relevant information to report a claim as well as highlight some important dates and timelines in the claims process. Have you wondered how to report a loss, when to report it and what to send? Did you know that there are key timelines for reporting a potential loss which could affect your coverage? Our presenters will share information which could help you with your claim.
Equipment Fire Losses – Loss Prevention & Best Practices
Our presenters will review recent losses which have arisen pertaining to heavy equipment fires. The program has seen over $1M in losses due to fires originating from heavy equipment in the past 6 months. This session will provide an overview of causation and include information on how to mitigate and prevent losses for our members.
Unique Claims & Recent Coverage Opinions
We will highlight some of the interesting and unique claims our program has seen over the past two years. Our presenter will take you through key coverage aspects as well as recent coverage opinions and case law that effect our members and their claims.
The Importance of Contracts and Contract Review
This session will give attendees an understanding of the basics of contracts. Our presenters will discuss when to have them and the importance of understanding what you are requesting. We will discuss the various levels of risks and what goes into identifying the risk in a contract and what needs to be done to mitigate your organization’s exposure. We will discuss contracts for your ANI’s and renting out spaces and completing a reno within your organization. We will also discuss what should be asked for from your engineers, architects, and general contractors to ensure your risk appetite is not being overloaded and that risk is transferred to the responsible party.
