Your RMA Insurance Risk Advisors: July 2026

To further our commitment to providing unparalleled service to our members, RMA Insurance is happy to announce some changes to our Risk Advisor Team.  We are thrilled to be welcoming back Temi Alao from maternity leave, while also welcoming the addition of Justin Brown as our new Risk Advisor located in Grande Prairie.

You can utilize the coverage map to find out who your Risk Advisor is. This is also located on the RMA Insurance Contact Us page, alongside individual Risk Advisor contact information.

For now, allow us to (re)introduce ourselves to you!

Temi has been with RMA Insurance since 2023. She has over six years of experience in the insurance industry and holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of British Columbia. Temi’s work is grounded in a simple philosophy that “embracing safety is always easier than dealing with the consequences of its absence.” She specializes in cyber risk mitigation and helping member organizations maintain a risk mitigation culture. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, kayaking, and spending quality time with her son.

Justin has over 26 years of experience in the insurance and risk management industry, beginning his career in 2000. After building his career in the private sector, he became a broker partner at a locally owned Grande Prairie brokerage prior to its sale in 2014.

He then transitioned to the public sector as the first Risk Manager for the County of Grande Prairie, serving for 12 years and leading both risk management and emergency management functions. During this time, he played a key role in major emergency responses, including the Dunes Wildfire, and managed the County’s Disaster Relief Program, overseeing a $680,000 budget.

Justin holds multiple professional designations, including CRM, CMML, BEM, BCE200, and ICS 400. Outside of work, he remains deeply engaged in his community and family life and is a former five‑time championship‑winning head football coach, driven by leadership, excellence, and service.

Kal graduated from MacEwan University in 2020 with a diploma in Insurance and Risk Management. From 2021 to 2025, he worked as a commercial account executive, specializing in fleet and commercial transportation before joining RMA as a Risk Advisor in February 2025. Outside of work, Kal is a dedicated Oilers fan and stays active by playing hockey and soccer. He is excited to use his experience and knowledge to help RMA members manage their risk exposures.

Victoria has been with RMA since July 2022 and recently transitioned to the Risk team. She began her career at RMA as a Claims Adjuster for Southern Alberta, where she built a strong foundation in claims management and client service. Prior to joining RMA, Victoria was a Risk Supervisor for a well-known vehicle rental company. Victoria excels at community relations and safety. She has received acclamations from Public Safety, Homeland Security, and ALERT for her active participation in keeping communities safe in both Canada and the United States. In 2020, Victoria was recognized for her leadership in her field by being published as a Top 10 Under 40 Security Professional for Canada in the Canadian Security Magazine. Victoria has background education in areas such as Legal Assistant, Private Investigator, Police Sciences, Counter Terrorism and Crime Prevention through Environmental Design for Rural Communities.

Vay graduated from MacEwan University with an Insurance and Risk Management diploma in 2014. From 2014 to 2023, Vay worked in the private insurance market as a claims adjuster, primarily in personal property and commercial property losses. Vay joined RMA Insurance in April 2023. In his spare time, Vay coaches Canada’s national summer sport, box lacrosse. He has won three Sr. B Men’s National Titles, and in 2023, a Jr. B National Title. Vay is looking to transfer his background in claims adjusting and coaching over to help RMA members mitigate their operational risk. When Vay is not busy with work and lacrosse, he can be found on the golf course or at the local fishing pond.

Chris has over 15 years of experience in fleet risk management, with experience helping multiple businesses achieve operational success. He also has a degree in Political Science from the University of Lethbridge. Chris is passionate about creating meaningful improvements for our members and creating strong relationships with our municipalities. In his spare time, Chris can be found at the curling rink, helping introduce youth to the game. In the summer, he’s frequently on the soccer pitch, coaching his son’s team.
