• Post-secondary diploma in a law enforcement related field, or a Grade 12 diploma supplemented with a minimum of 2 years of related law enforcement experience.
• Traffic enforcement experience along with prior experience with community and/or school based programs is an asset.
• Preference will be given to candidates who currently meet all Justice and Solicitor General Peace Officer appointment requirements including successful completion of an approved physical test (i.e. P.A.R.E.). An acceptable Criminal Record Check that includes a Vulnerable Sector Check is required. Candidates who do not yet meet these requirements but demonstrate strong potential may be considered, provided they are eligible and willing to complete the necessary training and certificates.
• Must possess valid and current first aid and CPR certificates. A valid Class 5 Alberta drover’s license is required. Current Radar/Laser certification and completion of the Motor Transport Weights & Measures course are assets.
