Summary

Clearwater Regional Fire Rescue Services (CRFRS) operates a progressive composite fire department, providing a robust service level that includes fire suppression, prevention, inspections, rescue operations and medical first response and more. CRFRS serves the communities of Clearwater County and the Town of Rocky Mountain House with five paid-on-call fire stations & headquarters.
This management position oversees emergency response operations, reporting directly to the Fire Chief and works collaboratively as part of Clearwater County’s Emergency Services department.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years progressive leadership positions in a municipal fire department
  • NFPA 1001,1002,1006,1021,1072/472,1051, Safety Codes Officer, Standard First Aid/BLS
  • Clean Drivers’ Abstract (Class 3 with Air Brake)
  • Clean Criminal Record check including Vulnerable Sector
  • Possess physical and mental agility and stamina to perform all functions needed
  • Strategic planning, organization, interpersonal, problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
  • Excellent communication skills: verbal, listening, presentation and written

Preferred Assets:

  • NFPA 1021,1031,1033,1035,1041,1521
  • Blue Card Command Certification
  • Emergency Management experience & ICS 300, Strike/Task Leader, Division/Group Supervisor
  • Previous leadership experience in a paid-on call / composite fire service
