Athabasca County is seeking a highly organized and professional Administrative Assistant to support the Director of Community & Protective Services.
Reporting to the Director of Community and Protective Services, the Administrative Assistant is responsible for providing direct administrative and clerical support to the Director, including researching and compiling background information, maintaining office administration and records management processes and procedures, and responding to and/or redirecting inquiries as required. This vital role offers the opportunity to contribute to a diverse range of County services by providing high-level administrative and clerical support.
The ideal candidate will possess post-secondary education in Office Administration, or a related field, and a minimum of 5-7 years of related experience, with at least 2 years of experience providing administrative support to senior and/or executive management, preferably in a municipal setting.
