The Surface Rights Board (SRB) has launched the Surface Rights E-Filing Portal, which allows landowners or their representative to electronically submit and monitor the status of rental recovery applications under section 36 of the Surface Rights Act. The SRB is committed to improving timelines for issuing decisions on rental recovery applications. This portal will help achieve that by modernizing SRB’s processes and providing better overall service to stakeholders. Some of the features and benefits of the portal include:
- The ability to e-file applications, which will make the application process easier and quicker, leading to faster turnaround times and decisions.
- An uncluttered design that allows for fast, easy-to-navigate, and user-friendly application.
- Landowners and representatives can complete and submit applications online at any hour of the day. Upon submission, a file number is instantly provided to serve as a reference.
- The portal will free up resources as it will be automated, allowing the board to focus resources on processing applications faster.
