Alberta Environment and Parks is seeking feedback on the Draft Code of Practice for Compost Facilities
Alberta Environment and Parks (AEP) is updating the Code of Practice for Compost Facilities to reflect modern composting standards and improve environmental protection through enhancing requirements related to considerations such as odour management, water resource protections, and setback distances. AEP has developed a draft Code of Practice for Compost Facilities (the Code) and Acceptable Feedstock List for Compost Facilities for stakeholder review and feedback.
The engagement materials for review and feedback include:
- The draft Code of Practice for Compost Facilities
- Acceptable Feedstock List for Compost Facilities
- PowerPoint presentations outlining the different sections of the Code
- Frequently Asked Questions
All feedback must be submitted on the feedback form by September 14, 2020.
