Alberta Environment and Parks is seeking input to help streamline the Water Act regulatory process for low-risk wetland restoration projects.
Alberta Environment and Parks (AEP) Water and Waste Policy Branch is leading the development of a Code of Practice (Code) that will streamline the Water Act regulatory process for low-risk wetland restoration projects. AEP is looking to gather feedback and input from stakeholders on the draft Code to confirm it will meet the needs of those conducting wetland restorations.
With the current COVID-19 situation, the engagement process will be done through an online platform: TalkAEP. This platform has the functionality of storing documents and audio-visual presentations, receiving comments, input and questions, and submitting formal reviews. Access to the engagement webpage will be limited to confirmed participants only.
To participate in TalkAEP, please provide the name, title, email address, and phone number of your representative(s) to AEP.WaterPolicy@gov.ab.ca by Friday, April 3.
Further information will be provided to assigned representatives once they have been confirmed.
The deadline to submit feedback on the Code of Practice is Friday, April 24.
If you have any questions or require more information about the online platform, please email Zahidul Islam at zahidul.islam@gov.ab.ca
