The training, which is now mandatory for new SDAB clerks and members, is being offered by the Municipal Government Board
In late 2019, the Municipal Government Board (MGB) assumed responsibility for delivering Subdivision and Development Appeal Board (SDAB) training to SDAB clerks and members. Included among changes to the Municipal Government Act in recent years is a requirement for new SDAB clerks and members to undergo training, and for existing clerks and members to undergo refresher training every three years.
The MGB will be offering its spring round of training on the following dates and locations:
- February 19: Edmonton – Clerks
- February 24 and 25: Edmonton – Members
- March 12: Calgary – Clerks
- April 15 and 16: Calgary – Members
Specific times and locations will be provided by the MGB closer to the course dates.
